Finistere Ventures, an agricultural technology investment fund, has named two partners to head a new Israeli office, the first overseas office for the California-based investor. The two are Gil Meron (Meirovich), who was general manager of Yarden Group, where he was involved in cleantech and agtech investments, and Eyal Rosenthal, who was managing director of Infinity Equity Group and took part in its cross-border investments between Israel and China. “As the way people grow, produce, market and consume food around the world evolves, it is a time of unprecedented change in the agriculture industry. We see Israel as a center of excellence in agtech,” said Arama Kukutai, cofounder and partner at Finistere. The company recently cofounded Radicle, an acceleration fund dedicated to helping early-stage agtech startups with an alliance of top ag industry leaders, including Israeli crowdfunding firm OurCrowd. Finistere works with industry leaders such as Agrium, Bayer, DuPont and PepsiCo.
