[MigVax in Hamodia] Gates Foundation awards $4.3m for development of Covid pill

Millions of pounds are being ploughed into developing variant-proof Covid vaccines that could be as effective against future strains as those circulating now. Scientists fear that current jabs could offer little protection against new versions of the Sars-Cov-2 virus – putting the world back to square one. The international Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, to which the UK has contributed £260 million, is backing two projects. [MigVax in The Times Of Israel] Israeli plan for COVID vaccine tablet gets $4.3m from Bill Gates-backed fund

A COVID-fighting coalition heavily funded by Bill Gates has awarded $4.3 million for development of an Israeli variant-proof vaccine in tablet form. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is a founder of the Oslo-based Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, and last October committed $20 million to it. CEPI now has a $200 million program to advance vaccine development, and has just announced its first funding awards.
