In an age of video on demand (VOD), sporting events are among the few broadcasts still watched live. Millions of people watch events such as the World Cup Final and the Super Bowl, giving Israeli startup Replay Technologies a huge reach. Founded in 2011, the company has developed a method of filming called freeD, which generates instant, real-time 3D replays that have already been used at the 2012 London Olympics, in Yankee Stadium, and at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. [Maniv Portfolio Company in Globes] Car communications company Autotalks raises $25m

The company develops chips for communications between vehicles and infrastructure in autonomous cars. Sources inform “Globes” that Autotalks is set to complete a $25 million financing round at a company value of $100 million. The Magma fund, which had already invested in Autotalk, is leading the round. An Asian financial giant has also invested in the company in this round. The Israeli company, eVigilo, specializes in mass-notifications and has been using its innovative technology to save countless lives. An Israeli company, eVigilo, is behind Sunday’s mass evacuation from an earthquake in Chile, which likely saved thousands of lives from the temblor and subsequent tsunami that hit the country’s southern coast. After a 7.7-magnitude earthquake was registered on Sunday by Chile’s naval oceanographic service, Chile’s National Emergency Office ordered an evacuation of more than 4,000 residents and tourists from the nearby coastal areas in anticipation of a potential tsunami.
