OurCrowd portfolio company, Curiyo, has been awarded PC Magazine’s highest editorial honor, the Editors’ Choice award. Curiyo is a browser plugin that helps deliver relevant content to users curious to know more about a word or phrase on a site, without forcing users to leave the page they are on. The PCMag Editors’ Choice is awarded to products and services that rise above similar products in leading technology categories.

In the review, PC Magazine editor Samara Lynn describes Curiyo’s technology as very impressive and gives it a score of 4 out of 5 stars.

There is a lot of content to sift through on the Internet. When you want to give your readers of your site more information about a particular word or phrase, it typically involves adding hyperlinks into your site. This means redirecting readers to yet another part of the Internet, when you want them to stay on your site. Curiyo does this work for you and gives your audience extra information they want at a click, without having to leave your site. It’s impressive technology although the long-press feature seems to work a little inconsistently. Curiyo is an excellent technology, and it’s an Editors’ Choice for business software.

Curiyo raised $550,000 from OurCrowd investors in December 2012 and $230,000 in a follow-on funding round in February 2014.
