And why now? “We believe ransomware is often directed at organizations because the payout is higher and in many cases, it is often cheaper to pay the ransom than attempt to combat the attack,” said Frances Zelazny, vice president of cybersecurity company BioCatch. “There is a shortage of personnel with cybersecurity expertise and this makes organizations that much more vulnerable, which makes more of a case for building resilience and real-time response.”
